Hardscape Installation

Hardscape is the built structure of a landscape — walkways, paving, retaining and feature walls, water features, and site structures. Mother Earth Gardens installs hardscape as part of an integrated scope, so levels, drainage, and planting are coordinated inside one team instead of split across a planting contractor and a separate hardscape sub.

What does hardscape installation include?

Walkways and paving, stamped or natural-stone finishes, retaining and garden walls, steps and stairways, water features, and the drainage and sub-base work that keeps them performing. On elevated and podium sites this includes coordinating hardscape with waterproofing and planter buildup.

Who is it for?

Developers and homeowners who want a finished landscape — not just planting — and projects where hardscape and softscape have to meet cleanly on levels, drainage, and sequence.

How does MEG deliver it differently?

Because MEG designs, builds, and plants as one team, hardscape isn't coordinated across contract boundaries where errors become warranty disputes. This matters most on structural planters, podium decks, and basement waterproofing under softscape — the exact places a trade handoff causes leaks and failures down the line.

Frequently asked questions

Can MEG do hardscape only, without the planting?

Yes, though the strongest results come when hardscape and softscape are designed and built together so levels, drainage, and planting integrate cleanly.

How is hardscape priced?

Walkways and paving are typically priced per square metre; walls, features, and structures are often priced per item. See our cost guide for how the pieces fit together.
